Ending Gender-Based Violence. Restoring Dignity. Empowering Communities.
Tirop’s Angels Foundation was established following the tragic death of Agnes Tirop, whose life was taken as a result of gender-based violence. Her story became a catalyst for action , transforming grief into a mission to protect, educate, and empower communities.
We work to dismantle harmful cultural norms rooted in patriarchal systems that normalize violence and suppress women’s leadership and dignity. Our goal is simple yet urgent: a society where women and girls live free from fear and violence, and where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
“One day, I want us to say Agnes' name, not because she died from violence, but because her legacy helped end it.”
— Viola Cheptoo., Founder
Education & Prevention
We visit schools, training camps, and local villages to educate young girls and boys on the warning signs of toxic relationships, digital safety, and bodily autonomy, breaking the cycle of violence early.
Survivor Support Programs
When a woman is in immediate danger, she needs an escape route. We are actively developing secure safe houses to provide temporary shelter, basic resources, and a dignified path forward.
Community Building & Support Groups
Our communities support women and girls through education, training that foster financial independence and long-term resilience. We work men to develop keep partnerships to end GBV. Our team offers support children through structured learning and protection programs. And we offer athlete support programs.
Thanks to our partners who help in our journey to end GBV.
